Is there such a game that has these qualities?

i really like world of warcraft, and i somewhat liked baldur's gate dark alliance, i want to know if theres a game kind of like world of warcraft, with the online world and such, against other players, doing dungeon raids and whatnot, or something similar, maybe a FPS that has similarities, like upgrading your characters skills and everything but online like world of warcraft. but not for the PC. for a game console like PS3 or XBOX. are there any games like this? basically i want something where i can do stuff online and upgrade my character as i level up and upgrade his gear or w.e and make money, farm items, but for the ps3.
