My Halo Reach xBox CD has a light ring around the edge?

Okay, so, everyone is saying it's due to moving the console while playing, but as far as I can remember, we haven't done that.. It has a light ring around the edge and my xBox is saying it cannot read the disk. We've tried cleaning it, but still. What do we do?
