Is my black ops screwed?

When i try to play zombies on black ops i can find people but when the match is about to start , it just freezes atthe loading screen. i can't dashboard quit or anything. i have to turn off my console. Then when i started to do multiplayer it froze at the loading screen. Is it my Console? My file? or my disc? I want to know because if i need a new disc i could go buy one before the first strike DLC map pack comes out.
